Where do you travel?
We’re based in Moyock, North Carolina, and serve events across Virginia and North Carolina, including Hampton Roads. Tell us your venue so we can confirm availability, travel, and setup details in your quote.
What’s included?
One complete mobile bar experience: the full walk-in cedar trailer, access to all 8 taps, and all 4 decorative wine barrels. You also get 30 gallons of onboard fresh water, a water heater, multiple sinks, a cup-rinsing station, three-door refrigeration, an ice maker, A/C and heat, dimmable lights, and interior electrical outlets. A generator is available when venue power is unavailable or inconvenient.
What events are a good fit?
Weddings, birthdays, retirements, corporate events, tailgates, backyard parties, festivals, and more. We’ll work with your venue and event team to confirm a suitable setup.
Do you provide alcohol or bartending?
Shepherd’s Tap is a dry-hire mobile bar rental. We provide the bar, equipment, and setup. Alcohol is supplied separately, and beverage service is arranged with your bartender or caterer as appropriate for the event. We do not sell alcoholic drinks individually.
What can go on tap?
Beer, cider, compatible wine, nonalcoholic beverages, and certain properly prepared kegged mixed drinks may work, depending on the setup. Confirm beverage, keg, coupler, and gas compatibility with us before ordering. All eight taps are available with every rental; you can choose to use fewer.
Do we need an alcohol permit?
Requirements depend on the state, venue, beverages, and event arrangements. Confirm what applies with your venue, beverage service provider, and the relevant ABC authority well before your event.

Do you need power or water hookups?
The bar can use suitable venue power, and a generator is available when needed. We bring 30 gallons of fresh water and a water heater. We’ll coordinate power, any additional water needs, and wastewater arrangements with your venue before the event.
Does the bar stay comfortable?
A/C and heat help keep the interior comfortable. Because guests walk in and out, conditions also depend on the weather and event setup. Dimmable lighting lets you set the mood as the celebration moves into the evening.
Can we decorate the bar?
Absolutely. Bring florals, framed photos, signs, or meaningful keepsakes to personalize the shelves and barrels. Coordinate decorations with us and use methods that won’t damage the cedar or equipment.
How do we reserve a date?
Check your date and request a quote with your venue, event type, and guest count. Book early when you can; last-minute inquiries are welcome too.
Is a deposit required?
A non-refundable deposit secures your date, with the remaining balance due before the event. Your quote and rental agreement will set out the payment and timing details.
Do you carry insurance?
Yes. We can provide a Certificate of Insurance to your venue upon request.
Can you coordinate with our event team?
Yes. We’re happy to work with your venue, bartender, caterer, or brewery on the bar setup.
